Guides / What to plant
What to plant in February
Light comes back weeks before any warmth follows it. Crocuses and primroses open on the first mild afternoon, sweet violets scent a shaded hedge bottom, and the aloe on the windowsill starts growing again after four months of nothing.
These are Northern Hemisphere months. If you garden in the Southern Hemisphere, the equivalent month is August.
