These terms cover use of the Raychis app and this website. By using either, you agree to them. We've tried to keep them readable.

1. The app

Raychis is a plant identification and care app for iOS and Android, operated by TerraRoxoAI. Use of the app is governed by the Apple App Store or Google Play terms in addition to these.

2. Plant identification - accuracy disclaimer

Raychis uses machine learning to identify plants from photos. It is not perfect. Confidence scores indicate how sure the model is, but you should never rely on Raychis identification alone for decisions where misidentification could cause harm - in particular, do not eat, brew, apply to skin, or feed to animals any plant identified by Raychis without expert verification. We are not liable for outcomes resulting from misidentification. The identification model itself is licensed separately - see the model licence for the terms governing the embedded neural network.

3. Subscriptions

Raychis Plus is a subscription product purchased through Apple's App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel them in your App Store or Play Store account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period - you keep your paid features until then. The 7-day free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.

4. Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple and Google, not by us. Use your App Store / Play Store purchase history to request a refund.

5. Acceptable use

Don't try to break, reverse-engineer, or extract the ML models from Raychis. Don't use it to harass anyone (it's a plant app, but we're saying it anyway). Don't use the support email for spam.

6. Intellectual property

The Raychis name, logo, and app are owned by TerraRoxoAI. The plant photos, notes, and data you put into Raychis stay yours - we don't claim any rights over them and we don't access them.

7. Disclaimer and liability

Raychis is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that identification or care guidance will be accurate for your specific plant in your specific conditions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for plant deaths, allergic reactions, poisonings, or any other harm arising from app use. Care guidance is general - if you have a valuable plant, consult a horticulturist.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes go to the courts of England and Wales.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in-app and on the news page. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
