How can we help?

Raychis is built by a small team. The answers below cover the questions we hear most often.

Common questions

Does Raychis work offline?

Yes. Plant identification, health checks, and care guidance all run on your device. The only thing that requires a network is downloading the initial app and any future content updates.

Why are disease and growth detection off by default?

They are experimental. Identification and the general health read are ready for everyday use, but naming a specific disease or pest and reading a plant's growth stage are not yet accurate enough for us to turn on by default. You can enable them under Settings -> Experimental features if you want to try them, knowing the results are a work in progress.

Where is my data stored?

On your phone. Raychis has no cloud account and no server. You can export everything you've saved as a .raychis bundle from the Settings screen.

Why does Raychis ask for camera permission?

To identify plants from photos. The camera is used only when you tap the scan button - it doesn't run in the background. Photos you take are stored on your device and never uploaded to a server.

How do I delete my data?

Settings -> Privacy -> Delete all data. This permanently removes every plant, photo, note, and reminder you've saved. There's no recovery once you confirm - we recommend exporting a .raychis backup first.

What does Raychis Plus include?

Plus unlocks unlimited scans and the full care guide library, with a 7-day free trial when you subscribe.
