Raychis

Version 1.0.1 release notes

The first update since launch. A stability and reliability patch, with clearer identification results and a few things that were more awkward than they needed to be.

Thank you for growing with us. Raychis 1.0.1 is the first update since the launch, and it is all about stability and reliability. Two fixes carry it; the rest is polish.

Fixed

  • A rare crash on first launch. A small number of first runs could fail while the bundled species database was being prepared. That path is fixed.
  • Your saved plant photos now stay put when you update the app. Photos attached to plants in your garden could go missing after an update. They now survive it, and a cover photo you have changed stays changed after a relaunch.

Improved

  • Identification results are clearer. When we are not certain, you can now pick from a shortlist of other likely matches rather than taking the top result or nothing.
  • Tap to copy any species name, anywhere in the app.
  • Choose which day of the week your care reminders arrive, so they land when you are likely to be in the garden.
  • Each plant’s care details now reflect the reminders you have set.
  • A smoother camera, and an easy way back Home from the care guides.
  • Fresh Explore artwork.

Also in this release

A long list of smaller corrections. The species search keyboard now gets out of the way when you drag, plant notes are no longer hidden behind it, a stale “subscription ended” notice is cleared when you resubscribe, the sound effects toggle confirms itself instead of failing silently, and one common name in the bundled species data has been corrected.

Unchanged

Identification still runs entirely on your device, and your garden stays on your phone. No account, no upload, and no new permissions in this release. The free tier and Raychis Plus are exactly as they were; the pricing page has the details.

If something still looks wrong, the support page is the fastest way to reach us. Happy growing.
