Raychis

Version 1.0.0 release notes

What ships in the first release of Raychis, and what the free tier and Plus each include.

The first public release of Raychis. The launch announcement has the story; this is the record of what is in the build.

In this release

  • Plant identification from a photo, with honest confidence levels. The model runs on your device and covers 5,000 species. When it isn’t sure, it tells you, and it can show you why it matched what it matched, feature by feature.
  • A health read in every scan. Experimental disease and growth-stage detection can be switched on in Settings; it is off by default while we improve its accuracy.
  • Expert care guides that work fully offline. Watering, light, feeding, and repotting guidance by species, adjusted for your climate and the season.
  • Your garden, tracked. Every plant you save keeps its photos, notes, and history on your phone. Nothing is uploaded; no account exists to upload it to.
  • Gentle care reminders so nothing is forgotten, and silence when nothing needs doing.
  • A new plant to discover every day in Explore, with 5,000 species to browse by category.

Free and Plus

The free tier includes five identifications a day and your whole garden. Raychis Plus removes the daily limit and adds interactive care schedules, the full guide library, and garden export, with a 7-day free trial. Prices are on the pricing page.

Known limitations

Disease and growth-stage detection are experimental, which is why they ship behind a Settings toggle rather than on by default. Identification confidence is tiered as Weak, Possible, Good, or Strong; a Weak match is the app telling you not to rely on it. If something looks wrong, the support page is the fastest way to reach us.
